Our beginning While working with a leading energy consultancy on projects for some of Australia's biggest companies I saw that again and again smaller businesses who were eager to go green were being turned away. With the high demand for environmental services smaller businesses were missing out, unable to afford and attract expert environmental consultants. I wanted to bring leading environmental services within the reach of local small to mid-size businesses who also realise a need for greener business practices, and help them to achieve the same level of environmental performance as these other major companies.

Huxham Sustainability Solutions was established with a genuine desire to help smaller businesses go green by providing the same high level of services demanded by Australia's biggest business at an affordable price.

Our philosophy

We believe that in order to achieve a sustainable future, environmental and social responsibility must become ingrained in our economic system with environmental impacts considered in all business decisions.

We believe that environmental responsibility is becoming an essential business practice. There are a wide range of opportunities that exist right now for businesses who can adapt to the changing marketplace.

Our concerns There is unfortunately a lot of confusion and misinformation about environmental sustainability on both sides of the marketplace; business and consumers. We are concerned that the popularisation of green issues in the media, while in many ways being beneficial, is in some cases resulting in green-wash and consumer skepticism. We want companies to move away from superficial green solutions that only offer a quick fix towards solutions that provide long term meaningful environmental and business benefits.

Our aim

Our aim is simple. That one day our services aren't needed; that all businesses have the skills and experience to manage and reduce their environmental impact. However, until then we understand that the change to a green economy in Australia is going to be a long and complicated one.
